Natural Building Craft & Vernacular Architecture

Our design workflow analyzes solar paths, local wind patterns, and hydrological maps of the site to craft spaces that remain naturally cool in hot summers and warm in winters, minimizing reliance on mechanical heating and air conditioning systems.

Vernacular Earth Building & Natural Plasters

We specialize in using locally sourced building elements like clay, straw, lime, stone, and bamboo. Our architecture studio actively replaces toxic industrial materials such as cement plasters and synthetic paints with breathable alternatives like lime plasters, mud renders, and natural oils. These materials are not only fully biodegradable but also regulate indoor humidity and air quality, creating healthier, non-toxic living environments for families and guests.

While our physical studio is located at Santram Mandir Road in Nadiad, Gujarat, we consult on sustainable developments, food forests, and eco resorts globally. Tattoo Studio Interior Design

Overview & Concept

The client approached us with an existing space and a rough idea for a tattoo studio but needed help turning that idea into a practical interior. The goal was to create a distinctive studio with a strong identity while carefully planning the reception, waiting areas, tattoo-making spaces, circulation, furniture, lighting, and electrical requirements.


Design Challenge

  1. The client had a limited budget and a tight timeline. They also needed to understand how the proposed tattoo studio would look before committing to the design.
  2. The challenge was to turn an early concept and basic area and electrical information into a cohesive interior design that balanced customer experience, tattoo workspaces, circulation, atmosphere, and functionality.


Design Approach

  1. The project began with an introductory consultation to understand the client's vision, target customers, preferred aesthetic, and functional requirements.
  2. Initial sketches were then developed to test the placement of tattoo stations, waiting areas, lighting, and circulation.
  3. From these studies, we developed an industrial-inspired interior concept using exposed-brick character, metal accents, considered lighting, and practical furniture.
  4. The design was then refined through three client meetings covering materials, colours, lighting, furniture, and spatial details.


Key Design Features

Reception Area

The reception establishes the identity of the tattoo studio and creates the first point of interaction between the customer and the space.

Waiting Areas

Both outer and inner waiting areas were planned to provide comfortable spaces for customers while maintaining a clear relationship with the studio's circulation.

Tattoo-Making Area

The tattoo-making area was planned around the practical requirements of tattoo work, with attention to workstation placement, lighting, movement, and the overall customer experience.

Industrial-Inspired Interior

Exposed-brick character, metal accents, darker tones, and focused lighting were used to create an edgy yet welcoming atmosphere suited to the identity of a contemporary tattoo studio.


2D & 3D Design Development

  1. The client needed more than a basic floor plan to understand the proposal.
  2. The design package included 2D plans, realistic visualizations, and a walkthrough video, allowing the client to understand the spatial arrangement, materials, colours, furniture, and overall atmosphere before implementation.


A Fast, Focused Design Process

  1. The complete design process was delivered in 15 days with a design budget of $1,500 with multiple revisions.
  2. The project followed a focused five-step process: ntroductory Call → Rough Sketches → Design Concept → Client Refinement → Final Deliverables
  3. This allowed decisions to be made quickly while still giving the client multiple opportunities to review and refine the design.


Design Outcome

  1. The project transformed a rough idea for a London tattoo studio into a defined interior design concept with clear spatial planning, customer areas, tattoo workspaces, lighting, materials, and visual documentation.
  2. The result demonstrates how good interior planning, clear communication, and focused design development can deliver a distinctive commercial interior within a tight timeline and budget.
